Your Day's Itinerary
Our day begins when your Eco friendly guide will meet you at your accommodation; we then drive north passing through one of Cairns most beautiful beach suburbs of Palm Cove. From here we will continue our journey north along one of the nicest coastal drives in the world, stopping along the way at the Rex lookout for views back over towards the mountains of the Great Dividing Range. We Then travel to the small seaside village of Port Douglas and enjoy a town tour, visit to flagstaff hill overlooking four mile beach and the historical St Marys by the Sea.
Our next stop is Mossman Gorge, the southern edge of the Daintree National Park. Here we enjoy morning tea of bush scones. We then jump on board a shuttle bus accompanied by your guide and head up into the National Park for a guided walk in dense tropical rainforest for views over the crystal waters of the Mossman River. Now it’s time to head further north to lunch at the famous Daintree Tea House for a delicious lunch in a setting unlike any other. After lunch, we’ll join our small group and personalised tour on the Daintree River with the Solar Whisper, which is the only electric boat on the river. Solar whisper also has an on-board video system to get even closer to the wildlife.
Continuing north, we head up to the Alexandra lookout driving through stunning World Heritage Rainforest, here we will have some stunning photo opportunities. We then continue to Cape tribulation. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to take a nice casual stroll on the beach where your guide with teach you the rich history of Captain Cook and take you on a guided walk up to ‘Kulki’ lookout. Leaving Cape Tribulation Beach we then venture south back toward The Daintree River, stopping along the way at the Daintree Ice Cream Factory for afternoon tea. Here you will have the opportunity to sample locally made ice cream featuring seasonal fruits of the Tropics (own expense). Shortly after, we arrive at the Daintree River and board the cable ferry to cross this mighty river. Our journey home gives you time to relax and reflect on your day before we drop you back at your accommodation for a good night’s sleep.
