THE SETTING
Jungle Escapes Adventures and Tours are based in the Daintree National Park at Cape Tribulation, we are 100% locally owned and operated. Our location is a 3-minute drive or picturesque 20-minute walk from the centre of town and only 2-hours from Cairns and 1.5 hours from Port Douglas in Far North Queensland; Australia
The large property is privately owned old growth Rainforest bordering the Daintree National Park. This remnant of Gondwana has never been logged it is in pristine condition. Our trails are minimal impact, we walk amongst ancient plants and animals on their natural terrain without the artificial separation, significant visual impact, distractions and interruptions of the often crowded boardwalks
Our night and day walk tours are fully guided; our guides are local and biological scientists with over 23 years guiding experience in this unique tropical location and you have exclusive access to this unique jungle adventure
Day Walk - 2 hours, 8.30am & 1.30pm
Join us on an adventure as we wander through the jungle, discovering plants and animals found nowhere else on the planet. Marvel at strangler figs, ancient ferns, and the lush canopy of the rainforest. It’s a singing, bustling world, far removed from man’s dominance over the earth, you’ll learn about the unique history of the rainforest, and be introduced to some of the weird and wonderful creatures that call the Daintree home.

Night Walks
As the sun sets over the trees, the animals stir and the forest comes to life. With over 50% of all species endemic to this continent found in our region, we are blessed with a wide variety of wildlife. In addition to our frequent sightings of sleeping birds and rainforest dragons, we regularly encounter forest mammals including bats and possums, many species of spiders and insects plus beautiful snakes including amethystine and carpet pythons and brown tree snakes.

Who can go on a Jungle walk?
Our two hour walk follows natural trails over uneven ground and therefore requires moderate fitness and comfortable walking shoes.
Jungle Adventures walks are not recommended for children under 8 years, however we do offer private walks for families with young children, tailored to your requirements and subject to availability. Please enquire.
