This 4 day PADI dive course is designed for the traveler who is short of time and wants to learn to dive for the cheapest possible price, as well as those who don't want to spend their nights at sea. Like all dive courses you'll spend the first 2 days in Cairns doing "Pool & Theory" training. Then you'll complete your course with 2 day trips onboard Reef Quest.

4 Day PADI Budget Open Water Certification 

Two classroom days, two separate day trips  

The friendly, personalised service, combined with the warm tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef, are the perfect combination for one of the very best PADI 4 day Open Water courses available, you’ll travel to the outer reef on board our day trip vessel on the Saturday, and on Sunday you’ll visit the stunning Frankland Islands and dive its pristine coral gardens.

This option does not allow for the opportunity to overnight on the reef. On completion of your 4 certification dives you will get the opportunity to do one 'fun dive' (time permitting). If you wish to do more dives immediately after your course and experience the thrill of a night dive, choose the 5 or 6 day option.

Please note on days one and two - meals, accommodation and Medical are not inclusive.
You will also at some point in the first 2 days be required
to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes.

 
DAY THREE 
7.45am pickup from your city accommodation.
Cruise out to reef aboard our day boat and do your first 2 training dives.
Lunch (included)
Partake in some snorkelling.
Return to Cairns by 16:30
 
DAY FOUR 
7.45am pickup from your city accommodation.
Cruise out to reef aboard our day boat and do your final 2 training dives.

Lunch (included)
Certification as Open Water diver
Fun Dive (time permitting).
Last dive completed by 2.00pm.
5.00pm return to your accommodation.
7.30pm "I've dived & survived" party hosted by your diving Instructor. It's FUN..Don't Miss it!

Courses start Thursdays and Mondays with both courses running for 4 days straight.

If you have friends or family who are already certified divers, or who don't want to learn to dive, they can accompany you on our day cruise. Simply choose the "no course" options when booking. 

Referral Course 

A referral course means that the pool and classroom part of the course has been completed before arriving in Cairns. We accept referrals from PADI (the Professional Association of Diving Instructors) stores and instructors worldwide. Referral paperwork needs to be signed off by the initiating instructor and have been done within the last 12 months.
