Head North on the truly scenic coastal road with stunning views of the Coral Sea.
We cross the mighty Daintree River via vehicle ferry.
Travel through the lush ancient tropical Daintree Rainforest.
Tackle the iconic 4WD Bloomfield Track before enjoying a coldy at the historic Lions Den Hotel.
Enjoy lunch at The Cooktown Hotel, better known as TheTop Pub – your lunch included, yes, it's our shout, we're paying.
Visit the James Cook Museum - your admission included, yes, we're paying that too!
Visit Grassy Hill Lookout, the Cooktown Botanical Gardens, the mysterious Black Mountains & the Palmer River Goldfields.

Returning to your Port Douglas accommodation at around 5.30pm, Cairns Beaches at around 6.30pm & Cairns at around 7pm.
Once we leave the Northern Beaches of Cairns, we travel North towards Port Douglas on what is a truly scenic coastal road. The views of the Coral Sea along this part of our journey are awesome.
- Pass through the pretty sugar producing town of Mossman
- Cross the mighty Daintree River by ferry
- Enjoy the lush, tropical, ancient Daintree Rainforest, and look for Cassowaries
- Visit where "the rainforest meets the reef" & enjoy a stroll on secluded Thornton Beach
- Having left Cape Tribulation, we're now ready to tackle the iconic 4WD Bloomfield Track!
- Encounter creek crossings, inclines, declines whilst taking in the stunning scenery along the way
- Follow the Bloomfield River before we cross it at Wujal Wujal, certainly worth a photo!
- Visit the legendry 1875 Lions Den Hotel for a well deserved "coldy"!
- Finally, the charming, historic township of Cooktown, nestled between the mouth of the Endeavour River and Grassy Hill with Mt Cook as the backdrop.
- Admire Captain Cook's monument on the bank of the Endeavour River.
- During our time in beautiful Cooktown, aside from seeing the sights, you'll be treated to an old fashion, tasty pub lunch at the historic, 1874 Cooktown Hotel, then we're paying your admission into Australia's best regional museum, the James Cook Museum!
