Skyrail Up, 2.00pm Train – return transfers

Discover the unique beauty of Far North Queensland with the Kuranda Skyrail and Scenic Rail Experience. Begin your day as an experienced driver collects you from your hotel, providing you with a Kuranda Boarding Pass that includes your itinerary and all necessary tickets for the day. Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway at your allocated time (9.45am or 11am) and glide over and through the world's oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest. Two stops along the way invite you to step off, explore the fascinating rainforest environment, and take in panoramic views. Once you reach Kuranda, head to Kuranda Station and board the historic Kuranda Scenic Rail. Relax as the train winds from Kuranda to Freshwater Station, passing breathtaking waterfalls and through the iconic Barron Gorge. After arriving at Freshwater Station, a convenient bus transfer will return you to your hotel. The detailed written itinerary is available in six languages, ensuring a smooth and informative journey. Travelling before Monday 2nd November 2026? Skyrail will be operating a loop experience between Kuranda Terminal and Barron Falls from 19th August to 1st November (5 days a week, Wednesday-Sunday, boarding between 10:00 and 15:30) as part of Stage 1 of our upgrade project. This experience will last for approximately 1 hour, including time at Barron Falls Station, where guests will be able to enjoy the following activities and experiences: Ranger Guided Tours, Interpretive Displays, The Edge Lookout, Historical Precinct and Audio Guide App. As a bonus inclusion all Down Under Tours passengers will receive complimentary entry to Kuranda Birdworld or the Kuranda Koala Gardens during this upgrade period.
