Arriving in the heart of Kuranda, explore the charming town at your leisure. Discover a variety of cafes, restaurants, and the famous Heritage Markets, open daily with locally made souvenirs. Take advantage of discount vouchers for local attractions or simply absorb the village ambience.

Your adventure continues at 1.30 or 3.45pm with the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, gliding over World Heritage rainforest. Stop at two stations enroute to walk the boardwalks and enjoy scenic lookouts before finishing at Smithfield Terminal, where a representative helps coordinate your return journey.

Travelling before Monday 2nd November 2026? Skyrail will be operating a loop experience between Kuranda Terminal and Barron Falls from 19th August to 1st November (5 days a week, Wednesday-Sunday, boarding between 10:00 and 15:30) as part of Stage 1 of our upgrade project. This experience will last for approximately 1 hour, including time at Barron Falls Station, where guests will be able to enjoy the following activities and experiences: Ranger Guided Tours, Interpretive Displays, The Edge Lookout, Historical Precinct and Audio Guide App. As a bonus inclusion all Down Under Tours passengers will receive complimentary entry to Kuranda Birdworld or the Kuranda Koala Gardens during this upgrade period.
