Your package also includes a full-day Kuranda experience featuring the spectacular Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Kuranda Scenic Railway. Glide above the rainforest canopy on Skyrail, stopping along the way to explore the rainforest environment, before enjoying time in the village of Kuranda, known for its markets, local attractions and relaxed atmosphere. Return aboard the historic Scenic Railway, travelling through lush rainforest, past dramatic waterfalls and across impressive bridges.

Choose a convenient Skyrail pickup or drop-off arrangement to suit your plans. Depending on your selected option, you will make your own way to or from the Cairns railway station for the train journey.

The Kuranda experience includes travel on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway, allowing you to enjoy spectacular rainforest scenery from above the canopy and along the railway through the Barron Gorge area.
You can request your preferred Skyrail/Train direction, but please be aware this package does not specify a direction and we may not alway be able to accommodate your wishes – but we'll try.
If you choose the Skyrail to Kuranda in the morning we'll pick you up from your accommodation. If you choose the Train in the morning you'll need to make your own way to the Cairns Train Station. This is located in the CBD. If you choose the Skyrail in the afternoon we'll drop you back at your accommodation at the end of the day. If you choose the train in the afternoon you'll need to make your own way from the station.
Kuranda offers a relaxed village atmosphere, markets, shops, cafés and rainforest attractions. Your free time allows you to explore at your own pace before continuing your journey on the Skyrail or Scenic Railway.
For Green Island, bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and comfortable footwear. For Kuranda, wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a camera, water and a light jacket if needed.
