Kuranda, Skyrail & Train – Northern Beaches, return transfers

Experience the Kuranda Skyrail and Scenic Train in Cairns, Queensland. In the morning, your driver collects you from your hotel and checks you in, providing a Kuranda Boarding Pass with a detailed itinerary, as well as your Skyrail and Scenic Rail tickets.

At your designated boarding time, ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, gliding above and through the world's oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest. There are two scenic stops en route, offering opportunities to disembark and explore the lush environment.

Arrive in Kuranda and enjoy limited free time to wander the unique village. Explore daily Heritage Markets, featuring locally made souvenirs, art, jewellery, gemstones, and clothing. Use your Boarding Pass for discounted admission to select Kuranda attractions. Numerous cafés and restaurants are available for meals at your own expense.

Later, board the historic Kuranda Scenic Rail at your allocated time for a renowned journey through Barron Gorge to Freshwater Station, passing spectacular waterfalls. Upon arrival, a transfer returns you to your hotel. A written itinerary is available in six languages.

Travelling before Monday 2nd November 2026? Skyrail will be operating a loop experience between Kuranda Terminal and Barron Falls from 19th August to 1st November (5 days a week, Wednesday-Sunday, boarding between 10:00 and 15:30) as part of Stage 1 of our upgrade project. This experience will last for approximately 1 hour, including time at Barron Falls Station, where guests will be able to enjoy the following activities and experiences: Ranger Guided Tours, Interpretive Displays, The Edge Lookout, Historical Precinct and Audio Guide App. As a bonus inclusion all Down Under Tours passengers will receive complimentary entry to Kuranda Birdworld or the Kuranda Koala Gardens during this upgrade period.
