The Seawalker Helmet Diving Experiencelets you explore the Great Barrier Reef without needing to swim or scuba dive. Wearing a special underwater helmet, you can walk along the seabed, surrounded by colourful coral, tropical fish and other marine life. It's an easy and memorable way to experience the reef up close. You can even still wear your glasses or contacts as your head stays dry.
Begin your journey by checking in at the Great Adventures Reservations Counter inside the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. Departures are available at 08:30 or 10:30, following check-in at 08:00 or 10:00. Onboard, enjoy a snorkelling demonstration and a Green Island Eco video presentation.
Upon arrival at Green Island (09:15 or 11:15), you have access to snorkelling equipment from the island's Dive Shop, with optional hire of buoyancy vests and optical masks. Explore the island's rainforest walking trails with a self-guided Eco Island Walk booklet, swim or snorkel directly from the beach, or relax in the day visitor swimming pool.
Book your Glass Bottom Boat tour onboard or at the island's Information Counter, and enjoy a wide range of optional activities. Lunch and refreshments can be purchased from the island's restaurant and food outlets. Return departures to Cairns are at 14:30 or 16:30, arriving back at the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal at 15:20 or 17:20.
