Overview
Experience the Great Barrier Reef with the PADI Advanced Open Water Program and PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Course, featuring a two-night stay on the OceanQuest liveaboard. Enhance your diving skills as you explore this iconic reef on a multi-night adventure from Cairns.
Your program includes the PADI Advanced Open Water course, with all learning and knowledge reviews completed onboard. There are no formal classroom sessions; simply read the chapters in your manual and complete knowledge reviews as you go.
During your liveaboard stay, you'll complete five adventure dives required for certification. Core dives cover Deep and Underwater Navigation, plus you can select from Night Dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Fish ID, Underwater Naturalist, and Boat Diver.
For the Enriched Air (Nitrox) course, you will learn to manage oxygen exposure, set your dive computer for Nitrox and analyse tank gas contents. This experience is designed to maximise your progression and skill development while enjoying world-class diving on the Great Barrier Reef.

Location: Great Barrier Reef, departing from Cairns, onboard OceanQuest
Requirements: Completion of the PADI Open Water Course is required before starting this program.
Duration: Minimum two days and two nights onboard
Academic Work: Read specified chapters of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Manual and finish knowledge reviews. Most study is completed onboard, with no formal classroom sessions or exams.
Dives: Five adventure dives: two core dives in Deep and Underwater Navigation, plus a selection of Night Dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Fish ID, Underwater Naturalist, or Boat Diver.
