Up to 11 dives are included over the three days, including two night dives and a sunrise dive on the final morning. The actual number can vary because of weather or other unforeseen conditions.
Pro Dive has access to 19 Outer Great Barrier Reef dive sites across Flynn, Thetford, Milln and Pellowe Reefs. The exact sites are selected according to conditions.
Yes - or a snorkeller. This particular liveaboard is the standard certified-diver trip. Pro Dive also offers separate courses and referral options for divers who need further training.
Yes. A 3 Day / 2 Night snorkeller option is available at a reduced fare, allowing non-diving guests to enjoy the liveaboard and reef experience.
Yes. An orientation dive with an instructor is offered on the first dive for divers who are unfamiliar with the conditions or have not been diving for some time. The first night dive is also guided for first-time night divers.
Most dives are conducted as unguided buddy dives, following a comprehensive briefing from the dive supervisor. Guided orientation is provided for the first dive, and first-time night divers are guided on their first night dive.
The liveaboard vessels have air-conditioned twin or double-share cabins, with bedding supplied. There are 14 twin bunk cabins and two double-bed cabins, subject to availability.
Yes. The trip is fully catered with freshly prepared buffet-style meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tea, coffee and Milo are also available. Some dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.
Yes. A PADI Advanced Open Water course can be completed during the liveaboard for an additional cost. A PADI Enriched Air/Nitrox course is also available as an add-on.
Yes. An enriched-air package is available for divers who already hold the appropriate Nitrox certification. Pro Dive also offers a Nitrox course as an additional qualification.
Bring swimwear, comfortable clothing, something warm for the evenings, two towels, marine-safe sunscreen, toiletries, a sun hat and seasickness medication if required. A small bag is recommended because luggage space is limited.
Pro Dive recommends not flying within 24 hours of diving. After this three-day trip, the earliest recommended flight time is 12:00pm on the following day.
