You will see a vast array of hard and soft corals, great drop-offs, exciting walls and swim - throughs.

Departing daily from the Marlin Marina, Gate E, we travel via Fitzroy island on the way to the true Outer Great Barrier Reef. Each day we visit a reef  from a choice of Milln, Briggs, Moore and Thetford Reefs - About two (2) hours, approximately 40 nautical miles (70 kilometres) from the coast of Cairns. 

Our experienced Reef Team - selected for their local knowledge and love of the Cairns region and the ocean - will help you discover the best snorkel and dive sites available from Cairns. Your day trip is aboard a 16.8 metre aluminium mono hull vessel, limited to carrying 48 day trip passengers but for your comfort we limit the day guests to 30 and allow extra space for the passengers transferring to Fitzroy Island. We visit 2 outer Barrier Reef sites daily. Our sites have a variety of marine animals such as Clown fish, Surgeonfish, Stingrays, reef sharks and turtles.

Introductory & Certified Scuba Diving

This cruise offers great value diving - just $50 extra for either 1 certified or 1 introductory dive. No experience or qualifications are necessary for Introductory Diving and you'll be guided by an instructor. For certified divers a guided dive is availabnle for $15 extra. An additional introductory or certified dive is available to be added on board for $40.

• 7:30am      Transfer to the outer Great Barrier Reef, via Fitzroy Island
• 9:45am      Arrive at first reef dive/snorkel site
• 10:00am    First dive/snorkel session
• 12 noon     Lunch
• 12:30pm    Transfer to second reef dive/snorkel site
• 12:45pm    Second dive/snorkel session
• 2:45pm      Depart for Cairns, via Fitzroy Island
• 4.45pm       Arrive Cairns Marlin Marina

At approximately 40 nautical miles from the Cairns coastline, our outer reefs sit way beyond the inner reefs, sand cays and islands and offer much better visibility.
