Cairns Dive Centre has certified dive trips departing daily to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. This is diving at it s best!

Using state of the art diving equipment on our liveaboard vessel, M.V. Kangaroo Explorer, explore some of the best dive sites on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. You will see a vast array of hard and soft corals, great drop-offs, exciting walls and swim-throughs. Experience the unbelievable thrill of Night Diving on the Great Barrier Reef.

Snorkelling

Snorkel the amazing Outer Great Barrier Reef! See spectacular coral gardens teeming with a vast array of marine life. Join in the fun aboard the MV Kangaroo Explorer or laze on the spacious sun deck.

Enjoy the sumptious meals prepared by our experienced chefs. At night sit back and relax in the Lounge Bar or stroll on deck to see the amazing night sky.

Cairns Dive Centre conducts Advanced Dive Courses, which start daily and are completed over 3 days and 2 nights - spent entirely on board the M.V. Kangaroo Explorer at the Outer Barrier Reef. We take a maximum of 38 overnight passengers and visit a variety of sites about an hour and a half off the coast of Cairns. These sites include the beautiful Moore, Milln, Briggs, Elford and Thetford reefs.The dives included in this course are

• A Deep Dive
• Navigation Dive
• Night Dive
• 5 Pleasure Dives

A further 2 dives must be completed from a selection of dives including

• Search and Recovery
• Boat Diver
• Underwater Naturalist
• Photography
• Multi-level Dive

This is mixed with 5 pleasure dives, giving you a total of 10 dives - including two night dives. There is also plenty of time between training dives for recreational diving and snorkelling.

Your course includes 3 different reef visits all dive gear is included - that is torches and all accessories required for your night dive. During your Advanced Open Water course you will reinforce your just learned skills and extend your knowledge.

4 Day learn to Dive

Our 4 Day Learn to Dive Course is a fantastic way for you to learn to dive and experience the wonders of our Great Barrier Reef. Starting daily, this course includes 2 days of pool and theory work - during which time you arrange your own accommodation and meals.

The following 2 days are spent at the Great Barrier Reef on our comfortable live aboard vessel the M.V. Kangaroo Explorer. We limit our overnight passenger numbers to 38 to ensure your comfort.

• 5 training dives over 2 days liveaboard
• All dive gear, including the torches and accessories required for your night dives

5 Day learn to Dive

Our 5 Day Learn to Dive Course is a fantastic way for you to learn to dive and experience the wonders of our Great Barrier Reef. The minimum time you need to complete a dive course is 4 days, however, for some is not long enough!

Starting daily, this course includes 2 days of pool and theory work - during which time you arrange your own accommodation and meals. The following 3 days are spent on our comfortable liveaboard vessel, the M.V. Kangaroo Explorer, on the Great Barrier Reef. We limit our overnight passenger numbers to 38 to ensure your comfort
